2016 Update

It certainly has been very busy in our little office over the past three years and it is more than time for an update.

We’ve had some great clients come through the door and had the opportunity to work on some rather interesting and very personal projects. Somebody’s private renovation and extension is a huge commitment for many of our clients and it is truly rewarding to watch their excitement, when a project takes shape, literally from a butter paper hand sketch to the real finished house they want to live in.

In the meantime we have also successfully renovated parts of our own home whilst our garden has developed into a tropical paradise for our children and us. We believe that a house and a garden want to evolve with daily life, as we and especially also our children grow older. Needs change, and so can the use of a space.

We are forever moving and changing things to keep our little habitat more interesting whilst trying new materials, plants, products, finishes… hopefully our own experiences will benefit our clients and influence our design.

For now we will endeavour to invest more time in getting more of our projects photographed whilst we will also complete quite a lot of projects on site this year. So stay tuned.

Studio74 May 2013

studio-74-Arncliffe-House-news It has certainly been an incredibly busy 12 months since Studio74 launched this site and it is unfortunate that our blog posts have not been as frequent as we had hoped for, but we are now set up and ready to keep you more regularly up to date.

If you are a keen twitter follower you can also find us under studio74_sydney where we regularly post updates on projects under construction, publications, new project news and anything about our work life at paradise Bundeena.

In 2012 we’ve seen a lot of interesting projects come through our practice and it has been exciting to oversee two of our bigger projects during construction. Both projects have been successfully completed and you can find images from the recent photo shoot on our works/residential link. Big thank you to our amazing photographer Douglas Frost @ www.douglasfrost.com

A big thank you to our clients for giving us the opportunity to be so closely involved in the completion of these projects and hopefully you will be able to see them published over the coming months.

2013 has brought along several new residential projects, which have been very exciting to work on and in the meantime we still have projects at Council for DA approval. If all goes well you should see our first free-standing house completed by the end of the year.

For anyone local to Bundeena you would have noticed that our sign is finally up and we are hoping to complete the renovation of our own Studio and office space by the end of the year with a photo shoot of our own house and office to follow….

Thank you.

Thank you!

As the first blog post by studio74 we would like to take this opportunity to thank the many clients, associates and friends that have contributed to the growth and development of studio74 to date.

Studio74 has finishes 2011 with a very successful fit out of “dbl ristretto” in Springwood, Blue Mountains. It gave us the opportunity to collaborated with a great and inspiring Sydney artist Brad Robson. (www.bradrobson.com.au) please go and check it out, the coffee is fantastic too.

Studio74 has hit the ground running with three major projects going into construction within the coming weeks. We have been fortunate to have some new projects opening up to studio74 at the same time.

We are excited that the latest studio74 project is a beautiful Eco retreat in Kangaroo Valley, situated on a fabulous lot with a spectacular aspect of the Valley.

It is a great privilege for Studio74 to have an opportunity like this, as it encompasses our design ethos and allows us to integrate both disciplines whilst working collaboratively on this inspiring project.

We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead and keeping you updated on the practice.

Thank you.
